In your role, you will be required to fulfil the full range of Business Manager duties for the Ortho, Woundcare, Compression & Medical portfolios across the Island of Ireland.

Lead and manage a high-performance sales organisation to achieve commercial objectives, build strong stakeholder relationships, and maintain full accountability for sales performance and profitability, including responsibility down to NP1


You are required to work with multiple stakeholders across the company, including Warehouse/Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, Customer Service, Purchasing and Commercial.

Territory: Field based (ROI & NI)

Candidate Location: Leinster

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets

  • Monitor and manage gross margin, cost-to-serve, and operating expenses to ensure sustainable profit performance

  • Produce regular sales and financial performance reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts through structured pipeline management and demand planning

  • Analyse sales data, market dynamics, and customer behaviour to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities

  • Present performance insights, trend analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers to support retention, growth, and profitability

  • Lead a team of Product Specialists

  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, empowerment, and the recognition of individual and team achievement

  • Maintain and develop team by effective recruitment, development, and training

  • Perform field visits to develop in field sales skills as well as drive sales

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key supplier personnel

  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

  • National Account Management

  • Project Manage tenders and bids

  • Identify and develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders

  • Develop a strong customer network

What are the role requirements?

  • Proven medical device commercial experience, with established relationships at senior level across HSE and major private healthcare customers, and a track record of converting these relationships into sustainable business growth

  • Good knowledge of sales and marketing principles

  • Excellent ability to sell

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong communication and team management skills

  • Accomplished Presenter

  • The ability to communicate effectively and to build rapport with customers at all levels

  • Availability to travel as needed
