Job Summary

In your role, you will be required to fulfil the full range of Clinical Advisor duties across O’Flynn Medical.  

You will support the Sales Division to grow and develop existing business through education, clinical support, training, point prevalence audit and relationship building with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).

You will be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, gaining first-hand customer information to act with customers in mind.

Contract Type:Part time permanent. The successful candidate will work 8 days per month (on average 2 days per week), with flexibility required to meet service needs

Job Location: Macroom, Cork

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities are not limited to but will include:

  • Clinical Training and education to OFM staff.

  • Providing education to new and existing clinicians in both the hospital and community settings.

  • Establish strong working relationships with a range of senior health professionals.

  • Prioritise objectives and schedule work to make best use of time and resources.

  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of multi state tissue viability, product ranges and treatment protocols.

  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the OFM product range.

  • Actively gather market intelligence on our own and competitor portfolio / activities and supply information punctually in line with the requirements set out by management.

  • Maintain up to date with evidence-based practice, both nationally and internationally.

  • Represent OFM at local, national, international exhibitions and conferences where required.

  • Compile testimonials, feedback forms, case studies I relation to OFM products.

  • Participate in trade shows, training and marketing activities as required.

Key Competencies: 

  • Tissue Viability qualification desirable, however, 5+ years working in tissue viability with wound care certification also acceptable.  

  • Membership of EWMA, European Wound Management Association and EPUAP, European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel.

  • Competence in clinical knowledge and education.

  • Passionate about tissue viability and patient care.

  • Effectively adjusts to the changes and deals effectively with uncertainties in the workplace.

  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others, and autonomously.  

  • Flexible and enthusiastic mindset.

  • Establish and maintain good working and interpersonal relationships.

  • Making decisions and taking responsibility.

  • Ability to produce results, prioritizing objectives and scheduling work to make best use of time and resources.

Who exceeds in this role?

Top performers would have:  

  • Experience in multi-state tissue viability Clinical, Training or Education role is required.

  • Commitment to Annual professional developed required.

  • Attendance of 1 annual tissue viability related conference/study day required.

  • Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare market, systems and processes is preferable.

  • Strong administrative, computing and time management skills.

  • Flexible to support territories as requested.

  • Manage pressure, deadlines and setbacks efficiently while maintaining commitment despite opposition.

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong personal drive.

  • Full clean driving licence.
